In the News This Month

Greetings Everyone,

As part of the growing concerns with healthcare quality, organizations are focusing more on identifying and addressing disparities in the patient care they provide. Both our articles this month concentrate on providing organizations with information to assist with developing effective processes to provide equitable care for all patients.

Our feature article, “Delivering Meaningful Patient Education and Instructions,“ by Patricia Cook, Senior Consultant addresses some of the barriers healthcare workers potentially face when communicating education and instructions for patient post care, providing suggested strategies for overcoming these obstacles in order to implement an effective care plan.

Our second article discusses healthcare disparities as well, but taking things, a step farther by asking questions such as, “Are we being equitable with our healthcare?” “How do we know?” And, “Do we have the data to validate our answer?” Author, Chris Pratt, Senior Consultant and Accredited Provider Program Director provides a wealth of information on establishing effective and efficient data management processes that measure, analyze, initiate, and evaluate to sustain our health equity initiatives.

Thank you for taking the time to read our articles. We hope this information is helpful in assisting you with accreditation and regulatory compliance needs. If you have any suggestions for future topics or require our services, please reach out to us at info@courtemanche-assocs.com. Our team is always available and eager to assist you in any way we can.
