Overview
Our August offering focuses on the use of the Modified Early Warning Scoring (MEWS) system. MEWS is a system that scores a patient’s vital signs and other physiologic observations and provides an indication of risk for deterioration. Evidence has demonstrated that patients often display subtle signs of pending downtrends in their status hours and sometimes even days before the event.
