Ongoing Readiness

Ongoing Accreditation Readiness is a unique methodology incorporates education, system evaluation and strategically directed follow-up to focus organizations on regulatory requirements and to achieve desired care, performance and financial outcomes, as well as accreditation success.

This highly effective plan can be initiated at any time during your survey cycle and mirrors the survey process of accrediting bodies, including techniques such as performance tracing, to prepare all levels of organizational staff for an interactive survey process.  Training and education sessions are provided for leadership, medical staff and employees on key issues, including the value of the accreditation process, new requirements, potential areas of non-compliance, and corrective action strategies.  Consultants provide unannounced mock surveys to test the organization’s response systems and develop agendas to address key areas of concern for the organization, as well as known regulatory hot spots.

Preparation and ongoing readiness approaches focus on leadership, medical staff and clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate understanding and application of standards concepts and survey process methodologies.

All services are tailored to the size, complexity and specific needs of the organization.  Hospitals with community-based ambulatory services and other care delivery components present integration challenges for many organizations. C&A works with you to integrate surveyable services or remove non-surveyable components from the organization’s application that do not meet organizational and functional integration criteria.

Ongoing Accreditation Readiness packages cover the three-year survey cycle and include education, team assessment and onsite consultation every four to six months during the contract period.
